WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." (II Timothy 3:16-17, NKJV)
  • Accordingly, any attempt to create a list of beliefs apart from the 66 inspired books of the Holy Bible in its entirety would represent a vain, inaccurate, or otherwise incomplete creed or system of beliefs. Therefore, the following represents a tiny sample of those Scriptures and an equally tiny sample of what we believe.
  • We believe that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:1-5, NKJV)

  • We believe that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1, NKJV)
  • We believe that "the law [Old Testament] was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith." (Galatians 3:24, NKJV)
  • We believe that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23, NKJV)
  • We believe that "the wages of sin is death," (Romans 6:23, NKJV)
  • We believe that "Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone." (Hebrews 2:9, NKJV)
  • We believe that "He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:3-5, NKJV)
  • We believe that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16, NKJV)
  • We believe that "by grace [Christians] have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9, NKJV)
  • We believe that "unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:5, NKJV)
  • We believe that Jesus "said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.’" (Mark 16:15-16, NKJV)
  • We believe that the Spirit-filled "Peter said to them, 'Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.'" (Acts 2:38-39, NKJV)
  • We believe that "There is also an anti-type which now saves us; baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him. (I Peter 3:21-22, NKJV)
  • We believe that Jesus taught, "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love." (John 15:9-10, NKJV)
  • We believe that "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24, NKJV)
  • We believe "that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God." (Ephesians 5:15-21, NKJV)
  • We believe that "If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18-19, NKJV)
